Cultural sharing workshop: In this two hour weaving workshop Aunty Janice from the Southern Elders Weaving Group will teach young people how to start to weave a small basket.
Janice says ‘I like to weave because its relaxing and a way to communicate with other people and cultures. It’s a chance to hand down the culture to future generations. For example I teach my granddaughters just like my grandmother taught me to keep the culture alive.’
No weaving experience necessary. Adult supervision essential.
Age: 5-12 year olds
