Temporary Closure

Dear Migration Museum Visitors,

We wish to advise of a temporary public closure at the History Trust of South Australia’s Migration Museum to facilitate essential building works. This closure is scheduled from 21 November to 1 December 2023.

The decision to close the museum has been made with the utmost consideration for the safety of both the public and the Migration Museum collections. The works involve necessary removal of objects and exhibition furniture during this period. These measures are essential for the preservation and maintenance of the collection and the overall safety of our visitors.

While our buildings our closed you can still visit us online and explore the collections that tell the rich stories of South Australia’s migrant communities and our shared multicultural identity.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this period of necessary building works. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
