The History Trust of South Australia’s Migration Museum is committed to keeping our visitors, our people and our volunteers safe.
Our visitors’ safety has always been our top priority. To do this we have implemented a number of procedures and have changed some opening practices. These changes will ensure that we are aligned with state and federal government guidelines and that the health and safety our visitors, visitor engagement teams, volunteers and behind-the-scenes teams remain our priority.

How we are keeping you safe
Guided by expert health advice and in accordance with Australian state and federal government recommendations and requirements, we have developed a COVIDSafe Plan that is unique to the Migration Museum. This plan is available to view on request and key initiatives include:
- Increased cleaning with special attention to frequent touch points
- Development of recommended routes through the museum to assist with flow
- Establishment of maximum visitor capacity for our galleries
- Installation of numerous hygiene stations providing access to hand sanitiser.
How you can help us
- If you have cold or flu symptoms seek testing and stay home until you are well
- Wash your hands often and make use of the hand sanitiser stations located throughout the museum
- Observe social distancing and maximum gallery capacities at all times
