Who Was Mabel Worley? Uncovering a Destitute Asylum Story

Join us at the Migration Museum for a fascinating look into the life of Destitute Asylum resident Mabel Worley (1872-1937), presented by History Trust curator Corinne Ball as part of Family History Month.

Corinne’s talk highlights Mabel’s incredible adventures as she navigated love and loss, and fell into a life of crime while rubbing shoulders with the big stars of her day. Corinne will discuss how she solved a 100-year-old family mystery using genealogical and other records. Roll up, roll up, for a sensational story of family secrets and stardom.
