School Holidays: Animation Workshop

Drawn Together: Many Journeys, One Home

South Australia is full of incredible journeys, now your child can help bring them to life!

In this creative hands-on workshop, kids use their imaginations to draw characters or scenes inspired by real or imagined journeys to South Australia. Then comes the magic: their artwork will be transformed into a colourful animation.

From boats and planes to dream-like adventures, every creation becomes part of a joyful “Welcome Parade” celebrating the cultures, colours and creativity that shape our community.

  • A fun and meaningful way for children to explore South Australia’s multicultural stories.
  • Kids get to watch their own artwork come alive through animation.
  • Kids can design a character, float or scene that joins the vibrant “Welcome Parade.”

Who’s it for:

Perfect for kids aged 5-18 (and parents too!). No drawing skills needed – just your imagination and a story to share.
