Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander LGBTI people come from communities all around Australia – including regional and remote areas. This exhibition explores the unique intersection of indigenous and queer cultures and celebrates the resilience, creativity, humour, and passion of those individuals in telling their stories; primarily through their contributions at Adelaide’s Feast Festival over the past 21 years. Through visual arts, written and spoken word, performance, social documentary, and by simply being visible, these individuals and their allies are proud to share their cultures and their unique perspectives as they traverse a predominantly straight white society.
