This walking tour uncovers the forgotten footprint and architecture of Adelaide’s Destitute Asylum which housed South Australia’s poor, especially new arrivals, and mothers with children between 1850 and 1918.

Join staff from the Migration Museum, currently occupying some of the Asylum’s last surviving buildings and discover the orientation of the site and it’s structures that famously was Adelaide’s Destitute Asylum.
