Responding to Racism invites audience members into the theatrical space to support the actors as they tackle the real and confronting problem of racism.
Responding to Racism is an award winning interactive theatre performance that follows the story of Mik, a young Aboriginal student putting up with constant racism from his friend and football teammate Chris. Meanwhile, a new student has arrived at school, Sophia, who is stereotyped and discriminated against for wearing a headscarf.
Developed by South Australian theatre company ActNow, in partnership with Reconciliation SA, Responding to Racism aims to identify, respond to and prevent racism, exploring its effects and offering prevention.
