Daring to be Different meets Centre of Democracy

What a difference a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Intersex, Queer person makes! This exhibition at the Migration Museum highlights the lives and achievements of rainbow people; lives that have traversed times of criminalisation, repression and discrimination into the light of increasing equality and celebration of diversity in the South Australian community.

The education program puts the lives of these people who label themselves as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Intersex, Queer, Dandy into a historical framework of change makers. Using the Centre of Democracy http://centreofdemocracy.sa.gov.au/  and an historical timeline, students will see how people become the framework of historical change. Learn about how peoples voices do matter! Meet some of these people, share their story, connect their journey to history and activism.

Attached is a downloadable education program to support teachers. Both pre-visit and post visit detail is included. D2BD meets CoD Education Booklet-2019
