The nineteenth century galleries at the Migration Museum are closing temporarily from Tuesday 11 May until late 2021.
Other galleries in the museum, including the twentieth and twenty-first galleries and temporary exhibitions, remain open to the public while the building works continue.
During the closure we will undertake important structural repairs to our heritage building at the museum. We will then install the new exhibitions, offering new ways of conveying the complexities of the past, with a First Nations focus and using a digital-first approach.
We are excited and proud to be able to renew our exhibition spaces and the important stories they tell for all South Australians.
We hope to see you soon!
